The Baptism of Jesus
The Baptism of Jesus
  • Are you an Orthodox Christian who wants to open the doors of the church to people who have never heard of the faith?
  • Are you non-Orthodox and interested in the African contributions and presence in early Christianity?

If you answered “yes” to either of these questions, the VA Chapter of the Brotherhood of St. Moses the Black welcomes you with open arms.  While the Brotherhood specifically reaches out to the African-American community, our goal is to bring Orthodoxy to all people.  At Antioch, the first community known as Christians was multi-racial.  We believe we should aim for and live to this standard human brotherhood in the faith and worship handed down by the apostles and ancient church fathers.

There are no dues nor membership requirements as the VA Chapter is in its infancy.  Please e-mail me your name, city or town of residence, e-mail address, and the name of your parish.  I am open to any suggestions to the website and having statewide meetings.  Your comments and assistance are very welcome.

    1. Find the nearest parish and parishes and start attending the services. If you are in Tidewater VA, you must come to St. Basil the Great Orthodox Church (Antiochian) in Hampton!
