Extending congratulations to my sponsor, Seraphim (Tom) Hamilton who was ordained as a Reader at the St. Basil the Great Antiochian Orthodox Church in Poquoson, VA. He was ordained today (January 19th) by His Grace Bishop Thomas of the Diocese of Charleston, Oakland, and the Mid-Atlantic. Also, Brad & Carrie Holmes were inducted into the Order of St. Ignatius. His Grace was accompanied by Deacon Peter Maris, Subdeacon Benjamin Daniel and representatives from the Order of St. Ignatius.
During the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy, Sayedna Thomas taught us that gratitude works hand in hand with faith and we should be careful to practice both in all of our endeavors. We thank God for the Bishop’s leadership and pray many years of service from our newly ordained and inducted members.
